Helloooo !!!

I am back after having missed the latest 4-5 months, I was soooo busy with many new clients, and very cool projects, I thought I had no time to fill my blog, but you know what, I realised no matter if I am busy or not I have to continu my blog because I missed you so much and also having a blog is sooooo good for creativity, I really missed that point, so I have to continu....

Here is a cover I made lately for a Kids magazine in Toronto Canada which is all about discovery. Hope you like it !

Also you have to visit the blog of my friend Brian , he has his own way to see his city of New Brunswick, he is also so regular, posting a new picture everyday, and trying to find humour for the next picture he will take in every tomorrow, in a way he convinced me to continu my blog !

Hello ! Car is a great invention with so many models , styles and colors... However, traffic tells us that maybe we have too much cars in circulation from time to time...Another cool invention is the pillowcases I have created with cmykidz Have fun watching my sketch, coloration and final print on the pillowcase. Well, I havent posted for a while because of an overload of illustrations and animations to do... For Thanksgiving I have completed this illustration which was very long to create because of its complexity. It will be printed on pillowcases as a "seek and find" game to create a brand new collection of fun and educative pillowcases, available in store and online. It will be a very cool Christmas gift for Kids.

Hi Folks, My illustration on the theme GHOST is a mixt of some influences like the ghost of the river( No face) in the very artistic animation Spirited away by Hayao Miyazaki and my own style mixted again with the two Classic Theatre Faces mixted again with some textures ....

I got my new digital pen tablet earlier this week. Its very cool... I draw direct on my screen with the same feeling of a real brushes... perfect tool for making illustrations and animations in new digital era. It works so natural with pressure sensitive, programable keys, 21 inches of screen and especially I got a command z on each of my brush stroke...I avoid scanning my drawing and it result by cleaner lines and a more productive way to work . I'm gonna publish later a live short movie showing the Cintiq in action ! See you later ! :-) Franfou

Phobia of death, maybe its a phobia I have. There are so many things I like to do on this earth ( illustration, playing guitar , tennis, my familly, friends, travel, etc ) I would need to live 3 or 4 lifes in parallel to do all these things... Yesterday in the same moment I uploaded my illo in my blog we got a blackout here in the house because of a very big thunderstorm and the breakdown has lasted more than 12 hours... Fortunatly I saved my illo just on time !!! So now I'm back with my illustrationfriday which is my first watercolor ever. Because I got some bloggers asking me to try watercolor I have tried it , finding in my own style, that also mean it is a little bit altered by computer...so I just hope you like it and will try getting better and perfect the style to make it ala Franfou ! :-)

This Tuesday, I took my sketchbook while watching my tv shows and as quick as possible I tried to capture and sketch some portraits of actors that were playing in CSI and also in The Count of Monte Cristo ( Gerard Depardieu ). I have to say that making caricature or portrait is something new for me, but its a very interesting execice , especially live in front of tv , its very fun to do !

I have created this vectorial illustration for a festival that wanted to attract more children to their event, so I have made it colofull, bold and simple, while trying to keep an artistic look ! Today I put a kind of rust effect over it and that rust effect was apply in first by my friend Steve( illustration-guitar) in his very very nice illustration for IllustrationFriday.com titled : Portrait.

Always sharing your methods of work with your friends is the best way to get better and better and if you share your secrets, your friends will share their own tricks and its the way to improve your talent...I think...
